Academic Requirements

Bachelor’s Programmes (English-taught)

  • Educational background: You must have an upper-secondary qualification that entitles you to university-level studies in your country. 

  • SAT requirement (for separate application):

    • Minimum 400 in Evidence-Based Reading & Writing and 400 in Math (new SAT, post-March 2016). 

  • English proficiency (one of the following):

    • IELTS Academic ≥ 6.0

    • TOEFL iBT ≥ 60

    • PTE Academic ≥ 55

    • Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency ≥ 169

    • YKI national English test: Grade 4 or higher in all subtests

    • OR a prior degree or upper-secondary diploma completed in English in an EU/EEA country, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or Switzerland 

Master’s Programmes

  • Must hold a relevant Bachelor’s (or higher) degree.

  • A minimum of 24 months (2 years) of professional work experience obtained after finishing the qualifying degree.


Tuition Fees

For non-EU/EEA/Swiss students

  • Programmes starting 2020–2025:
    – Annual fee: €11,500 per academic year (Aug 1–July 31). 

  • Programmes starting January 2026 onward:
    – Standard annual fee: €12,000, reduced to €11,000 if you qualify for the €1,000 Early Bird discount (must accept offer within 14 days and pay within 30 days). 

Exemptions & Scholarships

  • Tuition waived for students with EU/EEA/Swiss citizenship or valid Finnish residence permits (permanent, Blue Card, certain types). 

  • YKI-language scholarship: Up to €4,000/year if proficiency in Finnish is demonstrated (YKI levels A2–B2).

  • Temporary protection scholarship: 100% tuition waiver for the 2022–2024 academic years
